The Women Build event provides the opportunity for women to take an impactful step in serving our local community. Any woman who wants to learn more about how to build and construct a home is invited to join us. This is an opportunity to get on the construction site and learn new skills! In addition to learning new skills, Women Build provides a unique opportunity for women to directly create affordable housing solutions through construction, collaboration, and advocacy. Whether you’re already a handywoman or have never picked up a drill, Women Build is a platform where ALL women can make a difference by building homes, communities, and hope!

Volunteers pack their smiles and their positive attitudes to make a meaningful difference and impact on a local family while learning new skills or improving their expertise. The Women Build event is where women (and supportive men!) join together to build decent and affordable homes alongside hardworking Habitat Homeowners-in-Progress (HIPs). Construction experience is not needed to make a difference! Our build sites are hands on and super friendly and led by a small team of professionals that patiently train and guide volunteers through all phases of construction. Volunteers come away from the Women Build experience feeling energized and empowered with new skills – knowing they brought a Habitat partner family one step closer to achieving their dream of affordable homeownership.
Women Build is an inclusive experience that encourages women to become empowered to break down stereotypes, learn the skills needed to build a home, show what we can do when we come together, and most importantly, have fun making a difference.
